Assemble Food Packages for Families!

By giving just a little of our time, you can make a big difference in our community.

Volunteers at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank will help with various projects, such as: assembling shelf-stable food packages; assembling 5 lb. produce bags; or sorting through bread/assorted goods. These packaged and sorted items will be distributed to over one million families, older adults, individuals, and children who face food insecurity in Los Angeles County. This opportunity takes place on Friday, January 16th 2026, 9AM-12PM.

PLEASE NOTE:

Volunteers must be able to lift between 10-25 lbs.
Arrive 15-20 minutes early to allow time for parking and check-in.
Plenty of free parking available on-site.
The minimum age requirement to volunteer is 18.
No walk-ins are allowed - all volunteers must register online ahead of time.
For your safety, headphones/earbuds cannot be worn in the production/volunteer area.
We recommend volunteers to not bring their personal belongings, but we do have lockers available onsite.

DRESS CODE:

All volunteers must wear closed toe/closed heel shoes.
Casual and comfortable attire is recommended.
- Ex: t-shirt and jeans
- For safety reasons, please no shorts or tank tops
We no longer require volunteers to wear a mask; however, it is strongly recommended.
Gloves will be provided on-site.
