Wednesday 8:45AM-1PM Guest Volunteer Shift
This is your opportunity to come volunteer at Malachi's Storehouse during our busiest day of the week! We distribute groceries to hundreds of families each Wednesday in our drive-through process. Our organization works best with a group of consistent volunteers. These shifts are designed to let you try out volunteering at Malachi's in order to see if it's something you'd like to do on a regular basis.
Requirements:
- Arrive on time and stay until the end of the shift.
- Willing to possibly be outside for the entire shift, rain or shine, hot or cold.
This shift will include activities such as:
- Bringing food to people's cars and placing it in their backseats or trunks. This will not be heavy lifting but instead repetitive light lifting.
- Breaking down boxes for recycling
- Bringing garbage to trash
- Bagging up bread into smaller packages
- Handing out clothing or diapers
- Helping with cleanup at the end of the day
